In Home Psychotherapy Program "IPP"

Serving Northern, Central and Northeastern Wisconsin

Flexible individual and family psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, young adults (ages 3-21) and their families offered in the home.

IPP services are for children with mental health diagnoses who are experiencing difficulties in at least two settings: school, community, peer relationships, family relationships and/or legal. Child may also be experiencing violent or suicidal behavior. The child's emotional/behavioral problems must be more severe than can ordinarily be managed in an outpatient setting. The child/adolescent must have insurance through Medicaid, Forward Card or Badger Care.

How does the program work?

Innovative Counseling In home staff will:

Services are provided by a team consisting of a state certified Senior Psychotherapist with a Masters in Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy and a Second Team Member with a Masters or Bachelors degree and extensive experience working with children and adolescents with mental health and behavioral concerns.

A variety of therapeutic practices, consistent with best practices, are used in this program, including but not limited to: behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, play therapy, family systems therapy and solution focused psychotherapy.

Insurance

The In Home Psychotherapy Program is offered as a Medicaid card service and requires a prior authorization process to be completed for Medicaid approval before services may begin. Cases are offered on a case by case approach rather than by counties, but currently teams are providing services to children/adolescents and their families in Brown, Shawano, Marinette, Winnebago, Outagamie, Manitowoc, Waupaca, Door County, Oneida and Vilas Counties. Other counties may be added in the future.
