The IPP program is a flexible family and individual
In Home Services Program
Serving families with children from ages 3-21 years of age.
Serving families in the Northeastern and Northern Wisconsin Area.
Serving children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties with emotional issues, behavioral issues, and other mental health concerns.
Serving children and adolescents with multiple concerns.
These concerns may put the children or adolescents at risk for being placed out of the family home.
What is Intensive In Home Psychotherapy?
The
In Home Psychotherapy Program provides intensive mental health
treatment, support and education to children who have a mental health diagnosis and whose
emotional/behavioral problems are more severe or comprehensive than can
ordinarily be managed in an outpatient setting. The children/adolescents
must be having difficulty in at least two settings: school, home, community,
legal.
Services are provided by a team consisting of a state certified Senior Psychotherapist with a Masters in Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy and a Second Team Member with extensive experience working with children and adolescents with mental health and behavioral concerns.
A
variety of therapeutic practices consistent with best practices provided by the Senior Therapist are used in
this program, including but not limited to: behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, play therapy, family systems therapy and
solution focused psychotherapy.
The In Home Psychotherapy Program is
offered as a Medicaid card service and requires a prior authorization process
to be
completed for Medicaid approval before services may begin. Cases are
offered on a case by case approach rather than by counties, but currently
teams are providing services to children/adolescents and their families in Brown, Shawano, Marinette, Winnebago, Outagamie, Manitowoc, Waupaca, Door
County, Oneida and Vilas Counties. Other counties may be added
in the future.
